Como sabeis, estos dias estamos sin comunicaciones con nuestras naves en Marte por 'culpa' del Sol. Ahora mismo Marte se encuentra muy cerca de nuestro astro rey (visto desde nuestro planeta) y las señales de radio que pasan cerca del Sol nos llegan con interferencias. Aunque el bloqueo nunca es total (siempre se mantienen periódicas comunicaciones de telemetría), la cercanía solar impide que se puedan enviar comandos y recibir datos cientificos (espectros, fotos...) y por supuesto no se les envían órdenes a las naves ya que les llegarían distorsionadas y con efectos imprevisibles.

Este bloqueo de 2006 comenzó el pasado 17 de octubre y durará hasta finales del mes y primeros dias de noviembre, cuando volverán de nuevo las naves a la carga.

PD1: Por cierto, Spirit en estos días llega al Sol 1000!!!
Eso ha provocado que durante los últimos meses los ingenieros se hayan comido la cabeza para enviar nuevo software a la nave que opere con soles de 4 dígitos, ya que nadie pensó que fueran a utilizarse.
PD2: La parada de este blog durante dos semanas ha sido forzada. El sábado 7 mi ordenador decidió suicidarse y me quedé sin fuente de alimentación y sin la placa base, pero por fortuna el disco duro se salvó. Tras unos días en reparación, la nueva placa no reconocía Windows y tuve que instalar un segundo disco duro partiendo de cero e instalando el XP. Tras esto y durante otras cuantas jornadas he podido ir recuperando carpetas y documentos del disco duro antiguo. Ahora toca instalar programas y volver a la 'normalidad', si esto es posible con este sistema operativo. (Y no, no me pongo Linux porque mi torpeza me impediría hacer una vida normal con ese S.O. instalado).
